We have strengthened our legal team with the permanent appointment of our apprentice.

Jodi Attwood-Boot joined us as a legal apprentice based at our Uttoxeter office in Carter Street and is now training to become a Chartered Legal Executive, after successfully completing her two-year apprenticeship and securing a permanent position.

After completing her A Levels, Jodi was working part-time while looking for full-time employment. It was her lifelong interest in law that inspired her to apply for the apprenticeship position here at Bowcock & Pursaill Solicitors.

Originally from Uttoxeter, Jodi said: “I really love working at Bowcock & Pursaill Solicitors as it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I knew I loved law when I studied it at A Level, so a job in the legal sector really appealed to me.

“I’ve now finished my apprenticeship and Bowcock & Pursaill is funding my course to become a Chartered Legal Executive over the next four to five years, which is great.

“I’m currently working across several of the offices carrying out a range of tasks, from client account management, contacting clients, filing documents and general administration.

“I work at a different office on Wednesdays, so I’m never in one place all the time. It’s interesting because every day is different which makes it fun and exciting.

“I heard about Bowcock & Pursaill when I was job hunting for apprenticeships so I applied and it went from there. I recently moved from Uttoxeter to Cheadle so I’m not as close to the Uttoxeter office as I was, but I really enjoy working there.”

Robert Fearnley, a Partner at Bowcock & Pursaill added: “We are delighted to have Jodi on board as a permanent member of staff at Bowcock & Pursaill as she’s a great asset to the firm. She always gives her best work and always has a smile on her face.

“After all the hard work Jodi put in during her apprenticeship we knew we had to appoint her, and I’m confident she will successfully complete her training to become a Chartered Legal Executive.”

Jodi is the second successful apprentice we have appointed to a permanent position, after legal secretary Megan O’Neil joined our Uttoxeter office. She is currently studying for a law degree through the Open University while working here at Bowcock & Pursaill Solicitors.
