B&P bolsters Leek team with expert Solicitor, Emma Kirkwood

Bowcock & Pursaill has welcomed its newest Solicitor, Emma Kirkwood after working as a consultant and demonstrating her dedication and commitment to furthering her career in law.

Emma Kirkwood joined our Leek-based consultancy department in spring 2022, assisting the wider team and providing clients with guidance in many aspects of law, such as contracts, legal documents and helping to resolve disputes. She commented: “I was self-employed for five years before joining Bowcock and Pursaill, and prior to that I worked for another solicitor firm based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.”

With a keen interest in the operations of the legal system, Emma began her journey as a law student at Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent. She completed her law degree in 2001 and has never looked back since!

Emma added: “One of the most rewarding feelings is seeing the difference you make as a Solicitor, and helping clients resolve their disputes or generally provide them with sound advice that will help to shape their future in some way or another.”

Through her motivation, devotion and clear passion for law, Emma Kirkwood has become a valuable member of B&P’s team. Demonstrating a professional, kind and caring approach, she helps clients understand their legal proceedings by adapting her communication skills and legal jargon to suit them.

Discussing her first few months at B&P, Emma said: “I’ve settled in nicely, and my fluffy companion, Hattie, has become a popular and loved member of the office! Everyone is welcoming and supportive, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how my career unfolds!”
