Initial Consultation

We offer a fixed-fee initial consultation to provide you with clear, focused advice on your situation.
Our fee for an initial consultation is £150 plus VAT (£180 total) for up to 30 minutes.

During this meeting, we will:

  • Discuss your circumstances
  • Provide an overview of your legal position
  • Offer guidance on the likely approach of the court
  • Advise on possible next steps

Following the appointment, you will receive a brief written summary of the advice provided.

If you decide to proceed, we will open a full file and provide a clear cost estimate tailored to your matter.

Divorce

We offer fixed-fee pricing for straightforward, undefended divorce applications.

Our fees are as follows:

  • Applicant or joint applicant: £500–£600 plus VAT
  • Respondent: £300 plus VAT

In addition, a court fee of £612 is payable.

These fees include preparing and submitting the divorce application, advising you throughout the process, and progressing the matter to Conditional Order.

Please note that these fees apply to undefended divorces only and do not include advice or work in relation to financial matters or arrangements for children. Fixed fees are non-refundable once work has commenced.

Financial Matters and Consent Orders

Financial matters vary significantly depending on the assets involved and the level of agreement between the parties. For this reason, we do not offer a fixed fee for this work.

All work is charged at the hourly rate of the fee earner dealing with your matter. We will provide a clear estimate at the outset based on your individual circumstances.

As a general guide, drafting a consent order may take approximately 2 to 4 hours, depending on complexity.

In addition to our fees, a court fee of £60 is payable (or £30 if the application is made jointly).

Our Approach

We recognise that family law matters can be both emotionally and financially challenging. Our aim is to provide:

  • Clear and practical legal advice
  • A personal service tailored to your circumstances
  • Transparent and fair pricing
  • Ongoing support throughout your matter

Where appropriate, we may also guide you towards mediation or other services to assist in resolving matters constructively.

Transparency and Costs

We are committed to clear and transparent pricing.

At the outset of your matter, we will provide a cost estimate and explain what is included in our fees. If your matter becomes more complex or additional work is required, we will inform you promptly and discuss any implications before further costs are incurred.

No additional charges will be made without your agreement.
