Farewell to our secretaries of 40 years!

We’ve recently said farewell and good luck in retirement to two of our most long-standing colleagues, Carol White and Doreen Mason.

Both Carol and Doreen served as the company’s Secretaries and each had been with the firm for over 40 years’ of their careers. As part of the ladies’ retirement celebrations, the team all joined together for a meal at Leek Bar and Grill.

Since 1972, Carol has been a great part of the team at Bowcock & Pursaill and has always been on hand to keep everyone in the Leek office organised. She said: “I’ve enjoyed being apart of the B&P family, I enjoyed the varied work, as no two days were ever the same.”

Ian Naylor, Partner at Bowcock & Pursaill Solicitors, said: “It’s an incredible achievement for us to see Carol reach 50 years and we wish her all the best in retirement. Carol always succeeds in everything she puts her mind to, so we’re looking forward to hearing what project she begins next!”

Carol said: “Ian has always made sure we’re a forward thinking firm and we push forward with new technologies before most other solicitors.

I wish everyone the best of luck as I enjoy the next chapter of my life!”

Doreen joined the firm in the April of 1973 and supported her team wherever she could, while bringing a warming atmosphere with her to the office everyday. Doreen will be greatly missed by all at the Leek branch however, we wish her heartfelt congratulations on her retirement!
