Solicitors Bowcock & Pursaill are encouraging festival-goers to dress to impress at the Eccleshall Festival which this year marks the Queen’s 90th birthday.
The festival runs from Saturday (June 18th) until Sunday June 26th, with a popular highlight being the Victorian Street Market on Saturday June 25th where the firm are sponsoring the fancy dress trophy.
Festival co-ordinator Peter Jones, said this year’s Festival was particularly special due to its Royal theme, with hanging baskets, mangers and Union flags making the town look really festive.
He said: “There have been festivals for many years in Eccleshall, and the past four have been arranged by a voluntary group of local residents who wanted to keep the tradition alive.
“Their support, and sponsorship like this from local businesses like Bowcock & Pursaill, are vital to us being able to continue to run this event so we’re very pleased to have them on board this year.
“We’re hoping everyone who comes to the street market, stallholders and visitors, will really get into the festival spirit, dress-up in Victorian or Royal costume and enjoy the day.”
Rob Fearnley, a partner at Bowcock & Pursaill Solicitors, said: “The Eccleshall Festival is a wonderful community event which brings everyone together and we are delighted to support it.
“It seemed particularly appropriate to support the festival this year as we celebrate our first year of opening in Eccleshall, while as a firm we’re also coming up to our 100th year so we’ve been around longer than the Queen!
“It’s been a great year for us as a firm and Eccleshall is a lovely town to do business in, and I hope this year’s festival is a success for the organisers who have worked so hard to make it happen.”
The Festival Street Market on Saturday June 25th runs from 10am to 4pm and includes live music, a beer festival and a monster truck display. For more information about all the festival events log on to www.eccleshallfestival.co.uk
